Frasers Group acquired Braehead Park Investments Limited and Braehead Glasgow Limited from SGS Group for around £220 million.
The acquisition adds Braehead Shopping Centre to the Frasers Group portfolio. Located just outside Glasgow, Braehead Shopping Centre is Scotland's largest retail and leisure destination attracting more than 15 million visitors every year. The shopping centre, which opened in 1999, has over 100 tenants including Sports Direct, Flannels, Next and M&S.Michael Murray, Frasers Group CEO said: "This acquisition is an important step in delivering our property ambitions and accelerating the Elevation Strategy. It cements the Group’s position as a leading operator and champion of physical retail destinations while unlocking greater opportunities to serve communities with the best brands, environments and experiences possible."
