Michael Wong

I am a Partner in BDO's Forensic Accounting and Valuation Services, based in the Midlands, specialising in complex and judgement-heavy valuation matters across commercial and contentious valuations, financial reporting, tax and transaction contexts. I advise clients and audit teams on areas where valuation judgement, technical interpretation and evidence are critical, including auditor support engagements and expert-led assignments.

I work closely with audit teams, private equity investors, corporates, owner-managed businesses and professional advisers. My work often involves acting as an independent valuation adviser, supporting audit quality and providing clarity in high-risk or highly scrutinised valuation areas.

I combine deep technical valuation expertise with extensive experience operating in commercial, audit-led and contentious environments. This allows me to apply appropriate professional scepticism, focus on the key valuation drivers and deliver conclusions that withstand scrutiny from auditors, regulators and other stakeholders.
